Jaeger-LeCoultre is all set to launch its renowned Atelier d’Antoine educational experience at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore in the month of July. Named after the Maison’s founder, Antoine LeCoultre, the program is designed as a precise replica of the program housed within the Maison’s Vallée de Joux manufacture. The Singapore Atelier is the first in the Southeast Asia region and is set to be a thoughtfully constructed environment where collectors, enthusiasts, and even complete newcomers can engage with the philosophy and practice of fine watchmaking. 

What can you expect from the Atelier d’Antoine program in Singapore?

The Atelier offers two distinct experiences: Discovery Workshops and Masterclasses. With the guidance of trained instructors and experienced watchmakers, attendees will not only learn the theory behind watchmaking but engage directly with its tools and materials.

Each masterclass is capped at six participants to ensure an intimate, hands-on learning experience

This year’s workshops are centred around the iconic Reverso, aligning with Jaeger-LeCoultre’s global storytelling theme, 1931 Polo Club. The Discovery Workshop in Singapore dives into the Reverso’s Art Deco origins, technical evolution, and role as a canvas for artistic expression. The immersive session takes participants through original patents, design sketches, and archival treasures before culminating in a rare challenge: assembling a Reverso case from scratch.

The Reverso is the focus of this year’s educational theme

Originally developed in the 1930s for British Army officers in India who needed a timepiece robust enough to endure polo matches, the Reverso has become a symbol of timeless elegance and mechanical ingenuity. Its signature swivelling case, initially designed for function, quickly became a stylistic icon.

During the Discovery Workshop, participants will explore four narrative chapters of the Reverso’s legacy: Story of an Icon, Story of Style & Design, Story of Innovation, and Story of Craftsmanship. Together, these offer a comprehensive look at how the Reverso transcends eras while retaining its unmistakable character.

Special to this launch event, Jaeger-LeCoultre is bringing the unique Chocolate delights created by Mathieu Davoine, the latest Made of Makers artist announced in Geneva in April. Known for his unconventional gastronomic approach, Davoine has created four chocolate “delights” inspired by the world of polo and the Maison’s values. This tasting session is exclusive to the Atelier d’Antoine launch event.
